REFLECTION TOWARDS TEACHING PROFESSION

Teaching is indeed the most noble and respected profession. It is regards as such since one cannot attain education without this profession. Man able to quench his thirst for knowledge and learn many things because of this. Veraciously, man grew and developed with the aid of teaching as he explores his horizon and starts to broaden his understanding as he discover and acquire new information from it. Everyone becomes educated not because we go to school but because of the people behind the profession of teaching who are willing to impart and instill wisdom to the learners. Thus, the teaching profession is the core of realizing the individual's dream.
In this light, I really appreciate and salute to the teachers on how they've made difference to their students. They inspire and influence them in many ways in which they've molded and shaped the students in every facets such as cognitive, affect and spiritual. As man clad all of these, he is then leading his life into a more profound way of living. His mind is fueled with ample information and fed with appropriate values in helping him to become a better developing person. Undoubtedly, teachers contributed to the success of every learner's.

EVOLUTION OF PHILIPPINE EDUCATION

The Philippine Education is evolving, adapting new methods and set of curriculum from the foreign land. We are trying to be globally competitive by creating and formulating a well-planned curriculum for basic education. This is to respond the challenge of the changing society by preparing the young minds to become well-equipped with the necessary skills for his basic foundation. So, the question remains, how we able to furnish this curriculum thinking that this is proper and appropriate to every learner.

During the primitive era, there is no concrete and formal mode of education. Children where only trained on the household chores for girls while hunting and agriculture for boys. With this, we get the idea that children needs to learn this skills so TLE or Technology and Livelihood Education is adopted in order for the children to learn those kind of things that will help him to engage task involving technical skills. Since, there is an evolution or development of the society, the birth of philosophy from different places paved the way of philosophical speculations that guides man to understand better the world and him. There is then an introduction of moral values and virtues that man should learn and manifest for him to find the meaning of his life and attain happiness. We have now Values Education or Edukasyon sa Pagkatao, which molded the students to be morally adept that is to conform the moral standards of the society and behave like a rational human being to maintain harmony and avoid disorientation or chaotic environment. Further, education became more advanced that the Greeks focused on ideals and practice primarily in physical training emphasized by Spartans. Man should develop his physical strength, courage and agility. And now, we called it MAPEH or Music, Arts, and Physical Education and Health to train students in the various aspect of physical ability like sports, gymnastics, arts as well as music and health. Moreover, the academic subjects such as English, Math and Science was anchored on the ideals of the Greek philosophers which later improvised by the modern philosophers to devised a more precise and specific concept of the matter to explain a certain phenomenon. Conversely, English was much associated in literature which was influenced by the Athenians as well as the Romans in terms of oration and public speaking. Currently, this literature is a part of English subject.

WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS…

Failure is the hardest part of life man has to endure. As much as possible man avoids it in every way he can. He makes sure that whatever he plans to do must go accordingly and all his goals must be realized. Suffice to say, man is determined to succeed and not to fail. But in reality even how perfect neither your plan nor your work there were times that you fail. And during these times, some people are incapable of coping. They tend to lose hope and give up most especially when they keep on trying and still fail. When you are on the brink of uncertainties bear in mind that you can always seek refuge to our Almighty God, He waits to our call and our prayer because our Lord God is our only way to recovery.  In that way, we can surely face many failures and won’t budge for He is our shield and protector. 

HAIR MANIA

Before the advent of world wide web, everything seems difficult to do and now everything we want is only one click away. All aspects of the world is already provided and whatever information we wanted is just seconds to wait. Because of this, I was able to know how to style my hair. Since I was a child I am dying to do hairstyling on my own for me to look prettier but I really don't how to do it at that time. The answer to my  problem is now solved, tutorial videos helps a lot in creating beautiful hairstyle. My friends starts to notice and appreciate my hairstyle. They keep on saying, "you are so good in styling your hair, how do you do that" and others will say, "you look lovely with your hair". Hearing such compliments motivate me even more to create different hairstyle everyday and when there's an event or occasion I'll make sure that I have the most creative and beautiful hair. From time to time I watch different hair styling tutorials and learn from it immediately and then I demonstrate it to my own hair. Though it's kinda tedious sometimes but the effort is worthy and fulfilling after it's done. Presently, my hair is quite long already and I enjoy and love doing different hairstyles because it boosts my confidence and knowing that I personally style my hair I took pride on it.

To our respected Dean, distinguished faculty staff, dearest friends and classmates, to the graduates; and to our beloved parents, a pleasant afternoon.

I am so thrilled to speak here, in front of the lovely and handsome faces of the graduating students’ batch 2007.

How quick time goes by that at this juncture we are about to leave the threshold of this prestigious University. It’s as if it was yesterday that I’m preparing myself to enter college feeling excited and at the same time anxious because I don’t know yet what kind of life awaits me, and at this moment the same feeling but a little bit sad for I will soon bid farewell to the school that defines me and made me who I am.

My dear graduates, as we are going to receive our diploma, which we greatly deserved is the lone depiction of our realization of success. It is undeniably the key that unlocks the door to a whole new world while we commence a new chapter of our life. But before that, you should be proud of yourself that you’ve finally made it, after what you’ve been going through. You experienced struggles every time you stumble, hardships whenever you encountered obstacles, and sacrifices, and you recognized it’s all worth it. What a wonderful feeling that after you survived those things, the reward is remarkable – to be a part of the list of 2007 graduating students and admirably passed all of the requirements that we didn’t apprehended we could possibly make it. Correspondingly, it’s a triumph we should rejoice.

So as everyone is congratulating you on this day and on the days to come, don’t forget to thank and express your sincerest appreciation first and foremost to our Lord God for without His Divine Providence we are not here today, and also to everyone who helped us made it this far. We could not be able to achieve this victorious moment without their enormous support and assistance.

Let’s all thank our Lord God for bestowing us the talent, wisdom and strength to surpass the difficulties we’ve gone through wherein we were able to reach the final lap of college.

To the administration that they showed concerned to our welfare, they catered our needs and concerns in regards to the academe and to the school. They aligned us properly on what’s best for us and provide quality education in which, turned us to become competent and well-rounded individual. To the administration, thank you so much. And we will never fail you on what you expect us to become.

To our dearest teachers, who were also our mentors, who molded us to become a great person equipped with knowledge and skills they skillfully imparted to us. They inspired us to face life more meaningful and with a purpose and they challenged us to touch the pinnacle of success. And we were blessed to have met teachers like them and rest assured that all of the lessons we’ve learned from them will forever be embedded here in our heart and in our mind that is after this, we will prove our worth and bring glory to them.

To our friends and classmates who in one way or another brought joy to our tedious college years. You lessen the burden we were carrying and ease the pain we’ve suffered. You encouraged us to have faith in ourselves and you were always there to lend a hand. Classmates and friends thank you.

And most especially to our beloved parents, who definitely strived hard and made a lot of sacrifices just to give us our needs and sometimes our wants to motivate us to really do well in school. They indeed work hard, whereupon they could not afford to rest, thinking that we terribly needed their support and assistance. They did everything in order to provide us a bright future by means of continues sending us to school to earn a degree irrespective of how much it costs. They did their best and became a great mother and a great father. Our precious parents, although this is not enough yet we want you to know how much we are grateful for having you as our parents, and how much we owe this to you. We, thank you for you patients and understanding even if we sometimes failed to acknowledge your effort, thank you for your unending support and constant guidance; you help us to be strong and stand us up when we fall; and above all thank you for your tender care and undying love that though we oftentimes gave you a headache, still you embraced us with your warmth hands, gentle touch and a few words of wisdom. It made us feel the sense of existence. Once again, with all our heart, thank you and we love you so much.

Graduates, use your God given talents to the best of your ability since we are one stride closer in grasping our dreams.
